First Time in Orchard Road - What to Do

Orchard Road Survival Guide

Orchard Road is famed as a shopping destination. This 2-km street is lined on both sides with shopping malls, flagship fashion boutiques, cafes and restaurants. There’s no doubt about it, Orchard Road is one of the finest shopping destinations in Asia. IT’s a bustling area on any given day, but on weekend’s its taken up a notch when buskers and performing artistes take to the sidewalks to perform.

Located north of Singapore CBD and well serviced by MRT underground stations, getting out and about is no problem from Orchard. It’s important to note that the term ‘shopping mall’ doesn’t take into account the extraordinary leisure activities that are available inside these retail palaces too. Children’s edu-tainment centres, cinemas, climbing walls, rooftop bars, bowling alleys and plenty more besides.
