Science Centre Singapore

Science Centre Singapore

The Science Centre Singapore was designed as a fun way to educate children about the wonders of science. A family can easily spend a day here but don’t expect to be able to explore it all in one day as there are more than 1,000 interactive exhibits. The most fun for youngsters is probably the Waterworks featuring a fun water maze made up from water jets. The bottom line is that no child will leave the park completely dry.

The Science Centre Singapore has been a custodian of creativity and innovation, capturing the evolution of scientific developments through unique and relevant exhibitions and shows and continues to ignite young minds and foster new generations of scientifically savvy Singaporeans. Our many interactive exhibits, housed in 14 galleries, cover a wide range of topics related to science, technology and mathematics.

There is an additional 20,000 sq.m. of outdoor exhibition space showcasing the Waterworks exhibition, Kinetic Garden and Ecogarden. We also offer a wide range of enrichment programmes for students aimed at complementing the school's formal science education as well as enriching and fun events, competitions and outreach activities for everyone.

Curious kids can take a tour to the Bioethics Exhibition to learn more about Dolly, the cloned sheep or take on a voyage into space at the Space Science Exhibition or understand more of fire and its chemical reaction at the Fire Exhibition. The folks at Science Centre Singapore are always busy introducing new, temporary science activities on top of their permanent exhibitions such as the popular ‘CSI: The Experience’, an exhibition inspired by the famous CBS television series CSI.

This well-put-together scientific institution is on Upper Jurong Road. Its facilities include a few food outlets (one of it is a McDonald’s shop.), coin-operated lockers, baby strollers for and retail shops. Many people also make a trip to Science Centre Singapore’s sister attractions; Omni-Theatre, Singapore's only IMAX dome theatre and the Snow City, the first permanent indoor snow centre in Singapore.
