&Made has closed.

Burgers get the Michelin-star touch at &Made, a bright and cheery restaurant located in Pacific Plaza on Scott’s Road. This restaurant focuses on the meat and bun meal, with a decent variety from your standard beef to the more unusual duck leg confit burger and lamb with onion jam. You can also pick and choose your own fillings. Order a side of truffle fries or a milkshake to accompany it. Desserts are equally fun and inventive, with the lollipop waffle with a variety of chocolate dipping sauces. For those who think burgers are a waste of good meat, never fear, &Made sister restaurant, L’Entrecote Express, is just next door and you can order great steak from there.

Kaiseki Yoshiyuki

You might scratch your head about the inclusion of a mall-based restaurant in this list of romantic hotspots, but drop your preconceptions and consider the incredible Japanese banquet that awaits at Kaiseki Yoshiyuki. Open for lunch and dinner, the ambiance envelopes you as you walk into this quaint little restaurant. We love the seats right up next to the chef as you can see him creating your food before your very eyes, which always gives you something to talk about.

The term Kaiseki means ‘up to the chef’, so there’s no a la carte menu here. Lunch costs around SG$120 while dinner costs around $300, depending on the seasonal ingredients used that day. You will be treated to six to eight courses of impeccably prepared sashimi dishes, with delicate bits of artistry done to elevate the taste and texture of every bite.
